授業の目的 ／Class Purpose	この科目は、ディプロマポリシーの「1.実践的で高度な外国語の運用ができる」、「3.言語の基礎にある多様な社会、文化、歴史、政治、経済などについて幅広い知識や教養を身に付けることができる」ことを目的としている。
到　達　目　標 ／Class Objectives	Students can explain the mechanism of the EU. Students can explain the history of the EU. Students can explain the policies of the EU.

授業の進め方 ／Method of Instruction	Students may be asked questions during classes. Students may be asked to discuss in small groups. In the class, English and Japanese will be used. After each lecture, students must take a quiz (using a Google form) in class. There will be 2 lectures by a former diplomat and a person in the media industry.
履修するにあたって ／Instruction to Students	Read the relevant pages of the textbook before you attend each class. Visit regularly the website of the Delegation of the European Union to Japan｛https://eeas.europa.eu/delegations/japan_ja｝and that of the European Union｛https://european-union.europa.eu/index_en｝.
授業時間外に必要な学修内容・時間 ／Required Work and Hours outside of the Class	Read the relevant pages of the textbook before (1 hour) and after (0.5 hour) you attend each class.
