授業の方法 ／Class Format	This class  (講義) will be taught in English.
授業の目的 ／Class Purpose	This course is designed to inspire students to discuss issues raised in short, up-to-date reading passages. Students will have many opportunities to improve their listening and speaking skills. Students will be taught using an active learning approach，using pair work，group work and class discussions.　In addition, the purpose of the class is to acquire basic      knowledge of language and culture in order to communicate in a global society  (DP4). DP means Diploma Policy.
到　達　目　標 ／Class Objectives	Students will be able to learn how to discuss modern topics improve their English skills at their own pace.

授業の進め方 ／Method of Instruction	Typing practice is advised. Learning how to use MS Word and Powerpoint is also important.

成績評価方法・基準 ／Grading Method・Criteria	Visits to English Plaza will be required to pass the class. Participation and homework will count for 75% of the grade. Quizzes and reports will be 25%.
