授業の目的 /Class Purpose |
Students are expected to learn the historical change of communication media. Following the historical background, students will learn about the evolution of the media and the major characteristics of each media. The impact of these media on people's lives and society is also an important aspect to be learned. Although it has only a short history span, we will also learn about the impact of the Internet in detail. In a sense, media exists for communication and communication is impossible without using media. In addition to communication by language, music performance, dance, gesture, facial expression, advertisement in the business world are also considered forms of communication, and the relationship between these activities and the media should be also examined. This course has a close link to the diploma policies of the faculty such as "students can cooperate with others and can cultivate the communication skill to collaborate with others" as well as "students can learn a wide range of knowledge and concepts that form the fundamentals of the language in the community, namely, the features of culture, history, politics and economy." |
