授業の目的 ／Class Purpose	Basic Speaking1/2は共通教育リテラシー科目群外国語分野に属し、きわめて実践的な英語運用能力の養成科目として位置づけられる。生きた英語を身につけ、相手の意見をしっかりと聞きながら理解し、自らの意見も発信できるスキルを身につけることを目的とする。中級者以上を対象とした講義となる。この科目は、全学DPに示す「獲得した知識や技能を活用し、国内外において、価値観や意見の異なるさまざまな人と議論し、学びを深め、協働して社会に役立てることができる」を目指す。

授業の進め方 ／Method of Instruction	My email address-- jhorvat333@ge.kobegakuin.ac.jp In AY 2023, this class will be face-to-face classes. Basic Speaking II continues from Basic Speaking I.  This course will emphasize speaking and listening skills. Grammar and vocabulary will be reviewed and activated. Students will learn strategies for their conversations.  Listening exercises, grammar practice, pair discussions, speaking exercises, and presentations will be used.
履修するにあたって ／Instruction to Students	このクラスは中級者以上を対象とした科目となります。 Regular attendance is important for this class.  Those who are absent for 6 or more classes will probably fail the class.
